Fashionista or Rebelista??

I'm a huge fan of MTV Roadies, just like the rest of urban India I'm sure. And the recent set of roadies’ contenders is the usual eclectic mix. But one person who really stands out is a girl named Paulami from West Bengal. She gleefully calls herself Bipasha Basu’s look alike. I guess originality is not the order of the day.

Well, this girl loves make up, just like me. She does up her eyes with loads of kohl and eye shadow, the usual stuff you know. I can understand where she’s coming from, being a big eye make-up fan myself. But many others don’t. I know she goes overboard with her enthusiasm, but hello, whatever works for her. It’s her eyes!

When does it become too much? When should we realize that we’ve gone over the limit, even though the mirror spells ‘FAB’ ?
If the current trend says soft eyes and dark lips, does every woman on the planet become a slave to it? What about individuality then?
I’m confident that I’m not the only woman who’s mind is plagued by these questions. And being the rebel that I am, I’ve never really conformed to the rules. I, very much like our Paulami, do whatever pleases me. Whatever looks good on me is the current fashion – for me!

Hey, if you mirror spells ‘ Fabu-lah ’, I say go with it gal pal. Be different, as long as it makes you happy. Let your inner wild child out and enjoy the glances thrown your way.
